Hailing from Jacksonville, FL, Redeemed is heavily influenced by the classic rock sounds of superstars like Jimi Hendrix and Prince, while seeking to share a positive Christian message alongside bands like Third Day, Red, and Casting Crowns.
Band members Robert Schmidt and Joe Caulutti have been playing music together for over four decades. Over that time, their spiritual journeys have bonded them together, deciding to merge their love of Rock ‘n Roll with their Christian faith.
Redeemed has opened for Third Day and Mark Lee of Third Day and is currently booking shows at various churches, centers, and auditoriums throughout Florida. They are passionate about raising awareness about domestic violence, so a portion of all proceeds goes toward that worthy mission.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? (Psalm 8:1, 3-4, ESV)
The band was reflecting on how Psalm 8 begins and ends with such a beautiful proclamation in praising the Lord and acknowledging His excellence, authority, and glory over His creation. The band wrote “Majesty” to honor the expanse of God’s creation and celebrates being a privileged part of that vast creation.
